One of the things I’ve failed to miss while being here is having a car. Parking in this place is one giant PAIN, the streets are always lined with cars and, as is quite characteristic of many European cities, there are some cars that look like they’ve been there since the beginning of time. The dust and collection of fliers under the windscreen usually give them away.
This is a walking city, and I live 10-15 minutes from the city (depending which side of the city I want to be in). I don’t how it happened, but Malaga got lucky in the town planning front. Along the front of the city is a long stretch of well-mantained garden, with fountains, a small playground and cafe, benches, an amphitheatre and natural flora lining the way. I lean to towards using this path each time I have to go into the centre.
The other day, it rained. These gardens and the city were soaked in a healthy dose of aqua and the skies turned from their signature sunny-blue to a white, high-cloud covering. I took this opportunity to capture a few scenes from the city, since the sunshine contrast wasn’t as strong on this day.
I also captured a few places around town during my traverse through the cloudy day.
That’s it for now. I’ve enrolled in a Spanish school in a weeks time so there’ll still be plenty of time left to lie in the sun on the sandy beach.
Hasta luego, amigos!
